    Default Remember the Doe Bros.?

It's Feb. 7, so I put on the old Doe Bros. CD for old times and had a toast to him at Chelsea's earlier. It's been a while since I've listened to this but I am still moved by Joe's vocals. Yeah, it was 5 years ago today. After all, I still ask myself, WTF???
    Wha?

Remember well the Doe Bros! Years ago when Chelsea's had the small patio, I ran the restaurant upstairs for Molly and Terry and Kurtz. I loved it when you guys played and I could listen to the wonderful music while I worked.

I remember going to work in Fayetteville and following the ambulance up 23hwy. They stopped at the music park and I thought "gosh I hope nothing is wrong". A couple of hours later Gina called me and told me the news.. Everytime I look at this little stone memorial to his brother I think about him.. He was my friend and I miss him.

I play the CD you gave me a lot, there are a couple of songs on there that mean a lot to me, in different, ways. When I worked at the Times Echo, you guys helped me get the paper together every Monday night and kept me awake on the road to Berryville and back. The vocals, and the music, are superb, abslutely the best.

    Thumbs up

Well for a spell, I was a captive audience (being stuck in a kitchen) to the sounds of the Doe Bros. A magical spell.

Right outside my kitchen window in Chelsea's Cafe, the old patio, sight and sound was all the music, Doe Bros front and center.

I dunt understand the WTF? either, all I know is that it was Joe's call, not mine. I have to respect his judgement.

Itza nice that Man remembers this anniversary, may that good man constanly remind us for years to come of Joe and the Doe.

May we all rest in peace.

I will never forget hearing you two perform Pastures of Plenty with Joe on that wonderful 12 string in the bar at Chelsea's shortly after I moved to Eureka. Absolutely beautiful, thanks.
