looks like it's not going to be a nice day for the parade. high's in the mid 30's. with snow/snow showers on friday hope the route is not too slippery. Good luck to all the parade members and be safe.

I personally think it is pretty sad that it is not even Mardi Gras weekend, but the "powers that be" didn't want it on valentines weekend. The didn't want people on a "romantic weekend" to be "exposed" to the Mardi Gras Festivities.

    That is unfortunate, Mr. Munk.

Do they change the date we celebrate Christmas?
Do they alter Easter festivities because it might rain?

    Seems kind of silly.

Heaven forbid the sanctity of Valentine's Day be sullied by Mardi Gras feathers.

I can't speak to your question about Easter, but as to Christmas, yes, they do. It's in October and November now.

    Or lack of.

Oh, the debauchery. Like a kazoo band in a St Paddy's parade. Think of the children.

Alvin, I thought you were one of the "powers". You are still a CAPC commissioner.

He still gets to have an opinion and an original thought on occasion, doesn't he?
