Exclamation Fire on the Mountain is Cancelled!

Our fire department chief has issued a burn ban in Berryville because of the dry conditions. For so many reasons I am relieved!

Burn Ban in Green Forest, too. Went to Berryville today. Kind of amazing how much drier it looks over there than it does west of Eureka. West of Eureka got 2”-5” of rain in June. East of Eureka 1/2” to 1”. So no real surprise.

Just heard on KY3 that Fire on the Mountain is back on again. Due to the rain today the ban has been lifted.

According to Carroll County News, due to today’s rains, it’s been in-cancelled.

We just received the following notification from the Greater Berryville Area Chamber of Commerce: The 'Fire On The Mountain' fireworks extravaganza show high atop Saunders Heights in Berryville, Arkansas is back on for Wednesday, July 4th. Fireworks begin at dusk, approx. 9 p.m. Dry weather conditions almost cancelled the event. But heavy rainfall returned to Carroll County Tuesday afternoon, allowing the annual fireworks show to proceed. For more information, visit the www.BerryvilleChamber.com website.”
