    Default Community is a "Concept"

As per the Citizen this morning. The Community Center of Commerce chairwoman thinks community is a "concept". I believe it is much more than that.

Community is not a "concept". It is a tried and true format of trust, integrity, belief, communication and teamwork by those people living and working together. Mayhap changing your belief that community is a simple "concept" and making changes would go a long way in improving public relations with your foundation and project.
This mindset is just one aspect of many as to why people are hesitant in their support of the Community Center of Commerce.

The bear be right. Community is not an abstract concept ( unless you are specifically discussing community as an abstract concept)... it is people. Rich, poor, multi-colored, with all manner of family and belief as a living organism.

Not a herd to be manipulated by and for the benefit of a few.

    FWIW...I received this yesterday.

    Eureka Springs Area Growers,

As some of you may know, the Eureka Springs Community Center has a grant to build a community greenhouse. A portion of this grant is dedicated to education, both for the community's amateur and professional growers. The University of Arkansas has agreed to conduct a class or classes late February or early March for local farmers.

The Board of the Eureka Springs Community Center would like the input of local growers regarding topics to be covered during the classes for professional growers. This is your chance to suggest topics of interest to you or problems you would like help with. The classes do not have to be limited to greenhouse growing.
